1. Core Responsibilities

The Principal is the “Pedagogical Leader” of the school, responsible for the following key areas:

Academic & Curriculum Management

  • CISCE Compliance: Ensuring all academic activities align with the Council’s rules, regulations, and syllabus for both ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12).
  • Board Examination Oversight: Acting as the Chief Conductor of Examinations for Board practicals and theory papers. This includes maintaining the sanctity of the exam process.
  • Instructional Leadership: Monitoring lesson plans, observing classroom teaching, and ensuring that 21st-century pedagogical methods (like experiential learning) are implemented.

Administrative & Financial Leadership

  • Budgeting: Managing the school’s annual budget, including resource allocation for laboratories, libraries, and infrastructure updates.
  • Recruitment: Hiring, training, and evaluating teaching and non-teaching staff to maintain a high standard of education.
  • Compliance: Ensuring the school meets state education department requirements and safety standards (Fire, Health, and Building safety).

Student Welfare & Discipline

  • Holistic Development: Overseeing co-curricular activities, sports, and value-education programs.
  • Behavioral Management: Establishing a clear code of conduct for students and managing disciplinary actions with empathy and firmness.
  • Counseling: Working with school counselors to support the mental and emotional well-being of the student body.
