The primary duties of a physics teacher include:

  • Instruction and Curriculum Delivery:
    • Teaching a full course load of physics classes, which may include introductory, advanced placement (AP), or specialized topics.
    • Developing and updating engaging lesson plans, assignments, and instructional materials that align with curriculum standards.
    • Presenting complex physical theories and mathematical concepts in an accessible manner using lectures, discussions, and technology.
  • Laboratory Management and Safety:
    • Designing, organizing, and supervising hands-on laboratory experiments and demonstrations to reinforce theoretical concepts.
    • Ensuring a safe learning environment and proper usage of lab equipment, chemicals, and tools.
    • Maintaining, ordering, and inventorying lab supplies and apparatus.
  • Assessment and Evaluation:
    • Creating, administering, and grading various assessments (quizzes, tests, projects, reports) to evaluate student comprehension.
    • Providing timely and constructive feedback on student work and performance.
    • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance.
  • Student Support and Mentorship:
